Please Give Us Your Feedback
As stated earlier we are planning to release Chase Ace Deluxe some time soon. Many of you have asked us WHEN exactly. We can’t say so yet. We need to do stuff to the game, while making sure that we make money on the side, we have to form a formal company and what not. But rest assured. Chase Ace Deluxe WILL be released. Soon.
Meanwhile we could really use your feedback on some topics. Please post your comments to this post or - if you prefer - send us an email at peter [at] titoonic [dot] dk.
- Forum?
Should we add a forum to the site? - Level editor
Would you build any levels yourself? - Sharing levels
Would you share your home made levels with other users? Would you download new ones that other users have made? - Payment method
What kind of payment method would you prefer if you were to buy the game? Credit card payment via Google Checkout and/or PayPal? Something else?
Thanks for all your support!

Yeah a forum is good for many things, discuss problems that you might have with the game, or levels you have done with the editor.
Also the editor is a MUST, the editor is half the game for me, i love editors. To be able to make my own challenges, and share with others.
Yeah sharing levels and maybe a rating system on the maps that you could upload to the site somehow.
Multiplayer in all possible ways, if its possible to make multiplayer via internet or lan, DO it that would rock, i see so much games where they could not include multiplayer and they die off the first week they release the game.
Also i loved the high-score compare and list that were in the orig Chase Ace 2, gives more replayability on the cool challenging maps you make to try to get as far in the levels as possible without dying and get as high score as possible to brag with on the site.
Flexible controls, dont have much ideas here but good controls and with gamepad support.
Customizable crafts
Wery modder friendly.
Hope im not asking for too much, your game rocks!
/Valle
Oh, i forgot. Maybe upgrade graphics somehow, higher resolution etc
Thanks for the comments, Valle!
We were glad to hear that you like editors and the “global highscore” on the old site. Level rating and commenting could be really cool… We wont be able to make any real core changes to the game at this point though. It will however sport some unseen power-ups and a ridiculous tagged-on storyline
–Yeah!
–Yes!
–Yea!
–Paypal
The old editor (updated version) was kinda good, since i could understand it. So yeah I might make some levels, share them and download others levels.
Forum would not hurt, ppl get more drawn to forums then to just comment.
Make the game work online is a big part, I want to be able to fight people in other country’s or at least my friend in the next neighborhood.
And what about the original soundtrack from the cd, I want that in the game.
New game mods like capture the flag.
Credit card right of instead of paypal is the best for me.
A few extra buck and you get a cd version + the download right of the bat.
So since you do no core changes I take it the old levels will work. I have a collection of 200 levels that would be nice to use now then the runtime error is gone.
And remove all the chats and then make a new contest agin like in the old days if I understand the bonus campaign right.
“if I understand the bonus campaign right”
From the old game that is.
Forum:
I personally wouldn’t post in one that much, though I might browse it for interesting topics
Level Editor:
Even if you just re-jig the old editor so it’ll run decently on WinXP / Vista, that’d be perfectly fine for me. One of my most played levels was one that I created myself (Triple Delta, if I remember the name right)… though sadly I lost it in the passing of time and PC hardware
Absolutely yes!
Sharing Levels:
If I made a level, I’d certainly upload it to a central database if one was available. Playing through other players’ levels would be cool, too.
Payment Method:
Paypal would be fine for me.
Yes
yes

Paypal, credit card
Thanks for the comments you guys! We’ll expect to be flooded with supreme level layouts once we re-release the game. Looking forward to it
Just dont forget to make it fully compatible with vista

Playing other users’ maps can be great fun. I think this is a great idea
Payment method
I am 15 years old and don’t own a Credit Card yet, neither don’t have any knowledge of PayPal. I hope there will be a different possibility available for payments.
I forgot to add, Would there be a possibility for somesort of a special editor that you can use to create your own ships ? I figured this might just be a fun thing aswell.
forum:
the best to get more feedback or point any troubles or solutions… Perfect to build a fan community…
Level Editor:
Every decent game have a level editor, isn’t it?
Sharing Levels:
that’s what makes the point 2 more fun…
Payment Method:
Paypal, credit card and all others possibles way…
Possibilities to add joystick or hardware to the game…
Be abble to add your own music playlists… even if the original is great…
Multiplayer via internet…
see you man.
In short:
Yes, Yes, Yes, VISA or PayPal.
Slightly longer:
A forum is always nice, as it ties people together. A level editor is a must! I really enjoyed making levels for the original Chase Ace and if I can even share my levels and try out other peoples I would be a happy chump
On a side note, I would really like to see multiplayer added not only on LANs but over the internet as well.
You havent given any updates for a while now, whats happening over there?
Also id like to say that an online download/buy function would be great. Since i hate to wait for something ive ordered id like to be able to download the full software when i buy it.
Cheers
Hey you guys. Thanks a lot for the feedback and for the patience with us
Unfortunately this thing is still sort of a spare time project, so right now we’re busy doing other stuff that we need to do in order to pay for the work we do on this project.
We won’t be able to offer a decent online game experience at this point, so that wont be part of the release. Sorry.
Once we release, you’ll be able to download a demo or to purchase a full version online. This full version will be made available to you as soon as your payment has been processed (which is usually immediately).
The level editor will be a separate free download for those who would want to dig into that…
But really… We know that we ought to get our heads out of our asses and release the goddam game already. We just need some time to fix the last two or three small issues….

Yes to everything.

Probably could do it with Paypal, maybe even credit card. But.. how about Steam support?
Also, Online/network play? (keeping the multiple player on the same keyboard/computer thing too - too few games support that these days =[ )
And finally, moddability. Not just levels. But customising ships, weapons, powerups, even the graphics - so people could create Total Conversions if they wished. Mods always extend the life of a game and can create totally new experiences.
^ Even if you don’t manage to get all of these things in CA Deluxe, maybe for a later instalment? Chase Ace 3?
forum: yes
level editor: yes (a level sharing system would be nice too)
payment: paypal
cant you just release the game now and release some patches later on?
and for the modders among us it could come in handy if there is a possibility to make ships and weapons yourself.
*YAWN*
